 Pure Essential Oils
 

BASIL- A stimulating, herby refreshing oil. Recommended for nervous complaints and as an inhalant for bronchial conditions including could, flu, asthma and congested sinuses.

BERGAMOT. A few drops in the bath for cystitis and many skin conditions including eczema, acne, soreness and irritation- Smoke-clearing.

BENZOIN. Soothes, stimulates, comforts and warms. Add to carrier oil for protecting skin against chapping or cracking.

BLACK PEPPER. Used in small quantities with other oils for massage to bring relief to muscular aches and pains. Its hot peppery scent stimulates the mind. Appetite restorer.

CAJUPUT. Has a penetrating, camphorous odour. Perfect for use in a warm bath on cold wintry days or used in an oil burner to clear the thoughts.

CAMOMILE. Anti-inflammatory oil used for dry skin, eczema, soreness and allergies. Its relaxing fragrance is ideal for combating stress and insomnia or for children's - ailments.

CEDARWOOD. An insect repellent, so use a few drops in pet bedding, or in the kitchen who
flies are about. Helps relieve nasal congestion and calms nerves. Improves oily skin.

CINNAMON. For inhalation and room fragrance it is stimulating / antibacterial / antiseptic It's spicy fragrance blends well with Orange and Clove oils.

CITRONELLA. Light, fresh and uplifting. Can also be used as an insect and cat repellent

CLARY SAGE. Another oil to help insomnia sufferers. A sumptuous warm and relaxing fragrance that gives feelings of drowsiness and well-being. Useful for painful periods.

CLOVE. Used as a local anesthetic in cases of toothache. Used for room fragrance when blended with other spicy/citrus oils. In this way it is stimulating and antiseptic.

CYPRESS. Great in the bath and for sweaty feet as it is a natural deodorant, that has a fresh, relaxing fragrance. Helps regulate the menstrual cycle. A stimulant.

EUCALYPTUS. A versatile and powerful antiseptic. Often used to clear sinus congestion. Used in a massage to relieve muscular and rheumatic pain. Insect repellent.

FENNEL. Helpful to women during menopause as it stimulates estrogen product ion thus decreasing possible unpleasant effects. Has been used in the treatment of cellulite.

FRANKINCENSE. Praised for its rejuvenating properties. Use in skin care for this very purpose or inhale its calming, stress releasing aroma. Use against coughs and catarrh.

GERANIUM - A fresh, flowery, sweet fragrance that invigorates and refreshes. Used in ski care for its antiseptic quality. Use for PMT, also hormone and emotional imbalance-

GINGER. Fiery and fortifying. A comforting oil for the cold season and for massaging on muscles. Blend with Orange for warming winter baths. Also for travel-sickness !

GRAPEFRUIT- For that lift when you are really feeling down, then Grapefruit is our recommendation. Ideal for uncertainty, depression and migraine.

JUNIPER. Helps the system rid itself of unwanted toxins (poisons). Use in baths for irregular periods and when feeling 'under pressure'. Good for skin disorders.

LAVENDER- Used in skin care for its-soothing, healing, antiseptic and pain relieving properties. Its fragrance relieves headaches, tension and all stress related conditions.

LEMON- Its sweet, characteristic scent is refreshing and antiseptic. Use for skin care particularly oily skin types and broken capillaries. Can be used neat on warts.

LEMON GRASS. A stimulating general tonic. Use in the bath or massage. When combined with other oils will help ease muscular aches. A bath-time deodorant..

MARJORAM. A favourite in massage oils for relief of aches, pains, sprains, and rheumatic conditions. Helps promote sleep and combats stress and anxiety -

MELISSA. Also known as Lemon Balm, with a herby, lemon scent. Its properties are that of a rejuvenator and as a general tonic. Useful in cases of nervous tension and allergies.

MYRRH. A smoky and mysterious oil. Excellent for protecting the skin against cracking and chapping in the cold season.

NEROLI. (Orange Blossom). A strong stress relieving oil. Aids insomnia, palpitations
and depression. Used in skin care to stimulate new cell growth. Supposed aphrodisiac.

ORANGE. Use with other fruity or spicy fragrances as a room freshener. It is a mild
antidepressant and sedative. Blends well with Clove, Cinnamon and Frankincense.

PATCHOULI. Considered an aphrodisiac. A seductive musky, sweet, oriental fragrance. The oil is antiseptic, astringent and has skin cell growth promoting properties. Nerve tonic.

PEPPERMINT. Aids digestion, relieves rheumatic pain and headaches. Stimulates appetite and is a strong antiseptic- Add a few drops to car dashboard to help stay alert.

PINE. Often found in bath products due to its strong antiseptic properties. Also used to relieve excessive catarrh, stimulate sluggish circulation and as a massage for rheumatism.

ROSEMARY. Ideal when suffering from exhaustion or to prompt mental stimulation. Use in massage or bath for aches, pains and rheumatism. Inhale for colds, bronchitis and flu.

ROSEWOOD. A pleasant rosy aroma with spicy hints, popular as a room fragrance. It has an enlivening effect and is ideal for an uplifting bath when the body needs reviving.

SAGE. Blends well with Rosemary for a massage or in the bath as an aid to nervousness. Helps to sharpen the mental faculties. Use sparingly.

SANDALWOOD. A mild oil, said to have aphrodisiac properties, possibly due to its ability to strengthen the emotions. Soothing to the skin. Inhale for repertory infections.

TEA TREE. The second strongest antiseptic oil. For respiratory infections and on cold sores. Anti-fungal action works well on athlete's foot. warts, verruca etc.

THYME. The strongest antiseptic of all essential oils or indeed many of its chemical
equivalents. Used in inhalation to relieve many throat, mouth and chest complaints.

YLANG YLANG. An exotic sensual oil which soothes, relaxes and uplifts the sprit. Helpful in cases of high blood-pressure. Supposed aphrodisiac. Good for all types of skin.
